Michael Been 1950-2010

The Call, I think, could have been as big as U2. They just did not catch that wave in the early 80s.

Michael Been had a soaring voice and a talent for spiritual laden songs. I saw them once in the mid 80s and he could dance his hands through a fretless bass.

One concert I will never forget.

A great singer, songwriter and great band.

See you on the other side
Prayers to family and friends

I am sure I saw them at least once.

The (early ) 80s was a great time. It does not matter to me how big they were, there are some really big bands that are really lousy. Success at sales does not always follow quality. It seems he had a good life. He working with his son, who is in the BRMC.

He wrote some good, political, rock and roll songs.

RIP.

Oh, wow. I've heard a couple songs by the Call, and liked them.

Shame to hear this news. May he rest in peace .
