Marina and the Diamonds

So, anyone else a fan? She puts most other pop-tarts' musings on pop culture and the nature of celebrity to shame. Her debut album, The Family Jewels, has pretty much restored my faith in pure pop music.

Yes! I heard the album and really liked it. I need to see if it's getting a US release, or if I have to wait for a decent-priced used copy to pop up.

(Or maybe it's already out in the US and I just missed it.)

I don't think it's been released yet in the US, although I'm sure there are other ways of obtaining it. (Guilty as charged.)

I can't get 'The Outsider' out of my head. Cool at first, but now bordering on insanity.

Ha. Yeah, I certainly did hear it through those *cough*channels*cough*. I want to pick a copy for my collection, eventually.

Quirky female singers are usually my drug of choice, but her music does nothing for me. It feels too forced, somehow.

She reminds me of Florence and the Machine who I love, but something's missing for me. Maybe I'll give her another listen in a few weeks.
