So day 1 roundup:
B.o.B. - missed half of his set because of the line to get in, but he backloaded his show, so we got to hear all of the hits, plus my favorite non-single from the album. Then he blew my mind and covered "Kids", so I'm kind of in love right now. My only complaint is that when watching him live, you're only getting 50% live audio, 50% piped in guest vocal.
Wavves - stuck around for three unintelligable songs and then gave up. Not my bag.
The Walkmen - didn't know a note of their music, but it was a solid performance, enjoyed it.
The New Pornographers - absolutely amazing. I don't know much by them, but they kept me entertained, even though by this point i'd pulled a muscle in my foot and was beginning to feel a bit of pain.
The Dirty Projectors - I'm never going to like these guys, but I'll say something nice: I'm surprised at how well they can reproduce the seemingly random guitar parts from the studio versions of songs.
Hot Chip - one of the only bands that wasn't Lady Gaga getting crowd support. I didn't care much for the way they performed some songs live, but overall the atmosphere more than made up for it, pretty much was a giant dance party.
Chromeo - was listening to them while waiting for Gaga. They were very, very good. If anyone has rec's for them, I'd be interested in checking out an album.
Lady Gaga - see Lemonmelon's post in the thread. I got seperated from him, we spent an hour looking for each other because my phone died, and by the time we found each other i'd been forced to walk in circles so much that the pain in my foot had become severe so we had to leave. What I saw of gaga was great, but I'll be glad to see her fans go tomorrow.
