In case anybody's keeping score, Raphael Saadiq's new record, The Way I See It, is one of the 8 to 10 best records I've heard, all year. Unbelievable stuff, from (nearly, excepting a brutally unlistenable Jay-Z cameo) start to finish. So fucking great, and totally out of nowhere, for me, as I wasn't exactly a fan of his previous work which this thread has been examining.

Honestly, this record is a stunner. Awesome songs, awesome sound, awesome cover...the stuff that Smokey was made of. Amazing.
