Julian Casablancas + The Voidz

I did a search and didn't see anything related directly to this album, but if I missed it then feel free to delete / merge. It's not a new album by any means, but it's something I've been listening to for the last week or so.

This album kicks me right in the mouth. It's distinctively harder and edgier than most Strokes stuff and the song structures themselves are also more unique. Nothing against the Strokes, I really enjoy them as well.

Love this performance as well:

I've liked the songs by them (him?) that have come up on the various songza indie playlists

Sent from my SGH-I337M using U2 Interference mobile app

I listened to this album when it came out and it didn't leave much of an impression on me but I revisited it a week ago and enjoyed it. It sounds pretty rough and like it shouldn't work but it's filled with great stuff. A few catchy melodies, some great riffs...

Forgot about this thread. Anyone else think most of the band are deliberately trying to look as ugly as humanly possible?
