Damn it, we all need to be as hyped as humanly possible about this because it's easily the most exciting thing that will ever happen in any of your lives*

John Carpenter: Lost Themes | Sacred Bones Records

Usually I joke about hearing an album and not realizing I'd been waiting all of my life for it, but here, this is no joke: As long as I have been aware of Carpenter, his films and his music, I have been dying for him to release an album. It's unbelievably exciting to have that expectation finally realized.

But then for the album to also be good? Added bonus.

So enjoy with me! Especially if you like the Drive soundtrack, because that kind of stuff is all over the place here. Except, if the Drive soundtrack were an 80's horror video game.

An interview: Update: John Carpenter | Features | Pitchfork

*Exaggeration.

Wait, is this based off of the show LOST?:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy:
JC: I think of this album as a soundtrack for the movies that you have in your mind. Everybody walks around with a movie playing in their head—just imagine this is the soundtrack for you.

It is if you want it to be, Mikal.
