As another a heads up, I probably won't have a number one.

Number 50? Sure. 28? You betcha. But I don't know a top 10 for the life of me.

I think I might of agreed with you if I didn't hear Hatful of Hollow before their debut album because I now before the Hatful versions of those songs so much more.

Mine is down to 50 albums but I'm listening to more albums that I forgot and slowly adding them in.

I whittled mine down from 95. Many, many great albums were left behind.

I have a few that will be relatively easy to knock off the list, but it's going to be tough to decide on what to chop on the majority of them, let alone ordering them after that.

I think I'll end up chopping a lot of favorites just because I've already mentioned other album(s) by that artist in the list, so some albums I may actually enjoy more will be removed because I'd rather have it more diverse than 3 U2 albums, 3 Radiohead albums, 3 Cure albums, 3 Okkervil River albums etc.

Btw guys, here's a tip. If you feel about leaving out a whole bunch of great albums, why not just make a Top 100 or Top 150 or whatever. And then simply submit the Top 50 part of it. Keep your original list though and look at it every now and then to celebrate your impeccable taste in music. This way you're not really excluding any albums. You're welcome.

It's all good, nothing wrong with including 3. I personally am just one of those "rather include more artists than be accurate".

Just making this list has been interesting to see which albums I'd choose as overall favorites. For example:

-I chose In Rainbows as my 3rd Radiohead album with OK and Bends. It surprised me that I think of it that highly. Not sure if I'll cut one of the 3 or not.
-The 2 Cure albums I chose after Disintegration are Head on the Door and Seventeen Seconds. Back in the day I would have said Pornography instead of Seventeen, and I'm sure the vast majority of other people would have said Wish. Not sure if I'll be able to cut one of the 3 or not.
-Murmur, Reckoning, and Automatic are the 3 REM albums I chose. Not sure which I'll cut for the final list.
-I usually always say that 'Brighten the Corners' is my favorite Pavement album, but in the context of thinking of my all time favorite albums, I chose Slanted & Enchanted
-My list is very heavy on the last 2 decades.
-I narrowed it down to 3 U2 albums (AB, Zooropa, War), it may be tough to take one of them off the list. We shall see.

Putting things in order is absolutely hellish for me, cutting it down to 50 will be "easy" in comparison.

I am VERY happy to find out Operation Ivy's 'Energy' was originally an "album". I'd always thought it was just a final compilation of all their studio material, and thus was very sad I couldn't included it on this list. Apparently the first 19 tracks were the original album, and the last bunch are the Hectic EP and 2 tracks from a compilation. I r learningz from this list creatingz!

Expect to see that bad boy pretty high up on my list.

My Radiohead: Bends, OKC, IR.

I'm trying to scramble and listen to more albums before this list gets sent out. Currently on The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society.
