Jenna Fischer is fantastic. I don't think it can get much hotter than Blades of Glory for her, though.

Speaking of which, is a new Office on tonight? Season five has been pretty good, better than I expected (and season four).

Her hotness and the combo of Will Arnett and Amy Poehler were the only thing that made that movie watchable.

You should check out The Promotion, too. John C. Reilly plays a Canadian, which is funny enough to begin with.

Yeah, and Toby comes back... but on Always Sunny tonight, "Day Man" comes back, so it's pretty much a draw in the Thursday Office/Always Sunny rivalry tonight for me.

After that snoozefest of The Wall, Bob Dylan, and the Flaming Lips, Interference mildly redeems itself by being the only forum that would actually put Pop in its top forty albums of all time.

The problem with Coldplay is that they aren't designed to be a big band. I think they get a lot of crap because of that. If they were a small venue band I think they'd be more liked around here.

They try to make either every song a huge sweeping epic or dreary ballad... kind of what most "big bands" try to do.

If there was anyone I could demote from the highest rung of Unwarranted Musical Popularity, it would probably be them.

#32 - Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy

My favorite Zep album. It's vibrant. So vibrant, it's spinning.

They had to resort to child porn to sell this one

A recent relisten shows this to be extremely dreary. The vocals are frequently execreble and the synthesised brass is synthesised brass. "The Crunge" and "D'yer Mak'er" are, I suppose, meant to be amusing (at least in part) and they're not, they're just lumpy and rubbish. Even compared to other Led Zeppelin records, it's poor. I dunno. No point in writing about it, is there.

Stupid album, definitely the worst out of their typically unassailable classics. "Over the Hills and Far Away" and "Dancing Days" are the only worthwhile tracks, and they are both nice but nothing more. The rest is crap.

What perverts would put naked young girls on their album cover? the girls look like 12 or 13 to me. Apart from that the music is just monotone as it always was.

I think robert plant is a bit of a girl. and he's got his head up his own arse. Musically there is nothing here. Its just another multi million dollar selling album that to me is only worth the listen if its forced down your neck in the pub or at someones house.

Pop and ATYCLB making the Top 50 at all is flat-out ridiculous, but what else can you expect on a U2 forum? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Their debut was an album no one even expected to sell, you can't really insult them for it that much they made and album they liked and the worst song on it people fell in love with

I'm mainly insulting them for this:

It's probably the biggest reason why I torrent leaked albums before I buy them now, so I don't waste another $10 on shit like that.

ATYCLB made my top 20

Anything by the Stones making the top 100 is ridiculous to me but they're there...

Yep, that is indeed true.

I like a lot of Led Zepp songs, but I'm having a big ol' at so many of them making the top 100.

I put IV in my Top 10 and Physical Graffiti in there somewhere, too, but yeah, this is ridiculous, too.

You're missing the crucial distinction that if you ran this just about anywhere, the Stones would make the list, while I wish you good luck in finding another forum that would place ATYCLB and Pop so high.

What's the name of that u2 forum on the official website :hmm:

Pop doesn't deserve to be on it at all

#31 - Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head

"Fuck you guys! Only #31???"

Chris Martin looks like a Geography teacher!! Pure shit really, its all about nothing they're just a bunch of ginger students who think they're gonna change the world. oh fuck off will ye....

Wow, can he sound any more (fashionably) blase and in need of a savior? Radiohead is tedious enough, but at least they are always ahead of the curve of tediousness; Coldplay is the "Me Too!!" to Radiohead's "Big Dog" of stylishly having nothing to say.

Minus half a point for the communist ramblings on the cover sleeve.

Yeah! Let's make cracks at CAPITALISM when we're signed by CAPITAL records!

i've always enjoyed most mopey british guitar bands, therefore, i consider myself part of the target audience with coldplay. despite the ok songs "clocks" & "green eyes" (hope sandoval already wrote that one several times, and better),the rest of this is piss-poor. not that i cared for parachutes (or coldplay in general), but this album is much more contrived and self-conscious than their debut. "a whisper" may be attempting a radiohead style seriousness, but comes out like a third rate house of love (remember them?). "politik" is just bad song, bad direction. "in my place" rivals travis for the credit card commercial sound of all time. who are the bigger tools?

on the last album, singer chris martin did a decent jeff buckley impersonation on tracks such as "shiver". here, the true colors shine through on songs like "god put a smile upon your face", where he reveals himself not only as nowhere near the talent of buckley, but also as a generic melody man all around. "warning sign" confirms this, with the worst cello/string arranging i've ever heard. amateur bullshit. eat it up.
"the scientist" is such a drag. sad song 101. what's impressive is the masses that find it moving. slick & commercial music has never been so empty-headed yet intellectual sounding! coldplay speak to so many and get so many awards, i only look forward to their steady decline. i'm sure their next album will be significantly worse than this. gwynth sez so.

got sucked in by the hype and paid £7.99 for this disc of overblown, arrogant shite..... sold it on e-bay two weeks later for £9.00.... "every cloud etc. etc...."

Shiney, whiney, medium paced, pedestrian music, for old-before-their-time, zimmer-frame spotty adolescents. Not worthy of my toe-nail clippings and beneath contempt - and if possible - somewhat lower than that!

I hate ColdPlay... they suck!.. got this record as a gift from an friend. They sound awful, all i hear is just moaning and SUCH A HOARSE VOICE of the skinny bad looking vocalist.. just can't see the reason why many people gave them a standing ovation at the Garmmy's when even a 10 year old would sound better than their vocalist.. also the melodies of their songs sound so much like a bad rhyming poem that they try to fit to a awful sounding tune.. THEY JUST SUCK!.. WAKE UP PEOPLE!.. THEY'RE BAD!..

I'm going to do my best to keep my hate for Coldplay at a minimum...

COLDPLAY IS A TERRIBLE FUCKING BAND.

Well at least Coldplay knows they aren't good.

Wait? they think they are good?

That's too bad, I'll give it two and a half stars because I feel bad for them, and that is the size of Chris Martin's dick.

I'll ignore the attempt at an artsy cover.

Easily the most overrated band of our time. Every damn song sounds the sang. Just a bunch whiny baloney.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
