Interference's Top 100 Albums of All Time - Listmania! (top 100/individual)

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Not even one Madonna album made it! I guess she is too mainstream pop for this indie and classic rock obsessed forum. :sexywink:

She received a few mentions, but they were scattered amongst her discography, which prevented any one album from having a shot. The same thing happened to Ryan Adams.

If you think this is an indietastic list without impy, scumbo, Laz, or Lance involved, then I truly don't know what to tell you.

Oh yeah yeah I'm sure it would've been much more indie with them folks involved! :crack: It turned out to really be more classic rock!

Btw, props to intedomine and U2istheBest for including the Foo! :hi5:

Yep. The problem I ran into is that I dig a lot of clusters of songs, but not full albums, or they don't go into what I would consider a Top 50... otherwise you'd get a wider array of stuff on my list, at least.

I pity the Foo.

Yeah, the lack of any Beck or Bjork is surprising to me. You know who completely missed out on this? xavimf22. That douchebag. He was a huge Bjork fan.

Well this fucking blows. Although my list was sent to LemonMelon, he must not have gotten it. Or maybe I don't count. Cuz my top 50 wasn't posted.

So now there's 2.... :eyebrow:

CIB, apparently yours wasn't included because it had a live album, and I guess live albums aren't accepted.

36, with two more needing minor corrections (they had compilations on theirs).

There are 36 lists posted but 38 counting the ones needing minor corrections. The tourist, I was one of the two with minor corrections. Were you the other one?

I don't see why mine would have been. No compilations or live albums.

I don't know why.

I did what I was supposed to do:

9. Bob Marley - Legend

You're going to have to remove Legend because it's a compilation. Other than that, you're fine.

I guess we're here but not really.

Mine was probably not included because there were too many albums that were too obscure.

Some of the best albums are obscure. I choose to leave out some of my favorite obscure records, so my list doesn't seem complete. I know how you feel, tourist. :)

Oh I was just kidding about that comment. I am kinda deflated about this whole thing. I put about 3 hours into making that damn list.

Yeah. According to Axver, my list would have made at least one difference (The Unforgettable Fire would've moved up a slot).

Then Axver would've been MORE than pleased. I could have possibly moved Yankee Hotel Fortox and Abbey Road up couple slots.

hmm, I think only 6 albums I had in my top 50 made the cut
I would have expected a couple more but it's not too bad

what I don't understand though is how on a list so top heavy with "classic classics" that Rolling Stone woud print it without blinking twice Pet Sounds doesn't end up waaaaaaaaay higher
because some of the albums that are ahead of it now are really just ... umm .... well, it should have been higher
