Well, i thought since this is a general music forum i would introduce you to icelandic music, and the most popular music here now.
I am sure some of you are familiar with Bjork and Sigurros, but i will get to that later.

Dikta is a band that has recently been VERY popular here, especially after their second album which came out in 2009, called Get it together.
They are all men around the age of 30, they all have second jobs, for example the lead singer is a doctor. They usually only sing in english, but there are exeptions.

Here is some of their work, personally i think they are great.

First song is the most popular one, hit the top as soon as the album came out.

The song is called Thank you.

Another song, more heavy, called "Breaking the waves".

And finally one song that is in icelandic. "Nú skiptir máli hver þú ert" or in english. Now it matters who you are.

Please comment and tell me what you think.

I wasn't going to say anything, but you went there.

Forgive my fellow North Americans (it's Dikta not Ditka :p ) ... I was listening on the web to a festival someone I know in Iceland is one of the organizers of and Dikta was one of the bands this year, quite liked them and have been meaning to check them out a bit more.
