How Well Can You Hear Audio Quality?

How Well Can You Hear Audio Quality? : The Record : NPR

I correctly picked the lossless WAV file on 5 out of 6.

My audio chain was iMac>USB>PS Audio Sprout>Sennheiser 558s

I picked the 128 kbps four times, the 320 once, and the lossless once while plugging my headphones directly into my laptop. I'll try it with my speakers tomorrow.

Got the exact same results as Peef. Chromebook--->Roc Nation Aviators. Not exactly high end stuff on any level.

One thing I learned: Speed of Sound is terribly muddy, even uncompressed.

Hahaha, my ears are shit 0/6, picked five 320kbps and one 128kbps (which was Speed of Sound, ironically)

Signal chain: PC -> FiiO E18 Mobile DAC -> Beyerdynamic DT250s.

I guess I should buy a PONO now.

Hahaha, 1/6. All the rest I picked the 320kbps option.

2/6. I tried harder for the last two though as I was doing terribly and those were the ones I got right. I picked 128 for three of the other ones.
