This group rocks in my opinion. Luke Haines is the lead singer, he was also part of Black Box Recorder (I don't know what they sound like). This group to me has a thrash kind of a Neil Young or maybe Elvis Costello feel to it. Their guitar are so dinstinctive, kinda a U2 guitar vibe. Here is their songs at myspace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=59628719

Here is their music videos at youtube: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=the+auteurs&search=Search

I hope you like it!

I know I wish they got more attention. Cool, what's your favorite album or song? I don't have all the albums but mine would be After Murder Park. "Lenny Valentino" is my favorite song.

Mine's "now I am a cowboy" Brilliant album. i remember it got really good critic but somehow nobody bought the album. To difficult, i think, for the random Britpop lover..

lenny valentino kicks major ass.. But my favorite is "New french Girlfriend"
How I Learned To Love The Bootboys is a close second.

Cool. I love "Now I am a Cowboy" too. I also love "Light Aircraft On Fire."

Fine band. Been listening to 'New Wave' a lot. Thanx for the other song recommendations.
