I WAS AT THE SHOW MIKE showed up and played Good Riddance with the cast and BJA! That was the Jan. 22 show! Omg! The crowd went nuts!!!!!!!!!! I was up on the balcony with all the real GD fans.. it was insane.. BJA was looking/scoping the crowd during the end when they were bowing. He was looking for Mike. It was awesome as fuck..

BJA has entered the tweeterverse and has slowly but surely been tweeting.. It's pretty funny...

Cool!!! Lucky day to be there!

I've seen some of BJA's tweets too. I started following him when he first started. Though I rarely ever look at Twitter any more. I think I was following too much junk. Maybe if I delete a bunch of stuff and only keep the good ones.

what's funny about his tweeting now is that he so anti-tech but I guess he sort of has to with the way it is nowadays.. Not that he is tweeting a lot, only a handful of times so far.

i have to give them credit for going the live album with songs from a bunch of different shows route. i'm not overly fond of live albums in general, but i think the biggest bummer is always when an album is culled from a single show and turned into some miserable kind of obviously overdubbed and studio-tweaked mess where they cut all the between song banter. if i was there, i get the album and am sitting there like wait...but that bit between those two songs that happened at the actual show was funny, why'd it get taken out? and if i wasn't there, it always winds up still sounding like a collection of songs that i might as well just listen to on album versions because then i can not have the random crowd cheering before and at the end of each song because the sense of "live" is filtered out in the interest of higher sound quality.

i'm also not going to say the track list bums me out like the most recent dropkick murphys live album because it's mainly new stuff (side note: i know my definition of "new" stuff isn't a real definition since i draw a line between warning and american idiot. seems a little arbitrary i'm sure, but i kind of have my reasons). honestly, who the hell wants a live album of them (green day, dkm, or any other band for that matter) playing old stuff? what a stupid argument that would be. sure, i lean toward that line of thinking because i scanned through the stream only because i was in the mood to hear JAR and burnout once i saw them on there. but trust me, no sarcasm here. nothing worse than only wanting to hear old songs/all greatest hits...pretty sure someone wrote a song about that, even (oh please, someone get my "garden party" reference). i won't be buying it, but it gets points with me for not being a greatest hits album in disguise, either.

As an FYI, Blu-Ray.com keeps alerting me to the fact that Amazon has the Blu-Ray version of this on sale for $.01 less than it formerly was priced. Better hop on that sweet deal...

I stumbled upon your posts about American Idiot from back in the day, and they're awesome.

I have a difficult time believing you aren't still.

I still really like 'Warning' and 'Minority'.
