Greatest Composer EVER

Harry Partch

If you never heard of him, Partch invented his own compositional method using a 43-tone scale and many instruments that he built by hand. He is known as one of the most innovative composers of the 20th century and was the first contemporary composer to think outside the box of conventional scales in music. There are only a few of the incredible instruments he built left in the world, located at a few university's and museums in the United States.

You can also find his master work project, "Delusion of the Fury" on youtube.

after him(IMO)....

2. Scott Walker
3. Bernard Parmigiani
4. John Zorn
5. Bela Bartok

Enjoy!

It's an amazing little world he created that few have had the opportunity to appreciate.

You and I have a different definition of greatest. Innovation doesn't necessarily lead to greatness.

I think this was really just a backdoor way of pimping Scott Walker again.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."
