I really wanted tickets for the NYC show, but they sold out in like 30 seconds.

At least it will be streamed live:

Celebrate Garbage’s New Album and Stream Their Concert With ‘Live In NYC’ | MTV Hive

Should I check Garbage out? I'm worried that they may not be my kind of people.

I am really bored at work.

You are soooooooooooo lucky. I've loved them since I was 16 but was never able to see them live at a proper Garbage show, aside from when they opened for U2 on 10/24/01...

I was hoping they'd play more songs off their new album, since I think it's really good. It was a great show none the less--even if it was a greatest hits type set-- and I'm listening to Beautiful Garbage again for the first time since 2001. I really like that album.. I can't believe I didn't give it more of a chance..

Had I saw them last night I would have loved the show since they played all my favorites from their first album..

Yes..if You like female fronted alt rock bands from the mid 90s you'll love Garbage. Start with their first two albums which are awesome! Third is good as well and after several listens, their new one really holds up.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! What a day and a fabulous show!

Got in the GA line at 930 Club at about 3:30... With only 10 people in front of me. 15 min later.......... out comes Shirley and Duke who graciously came out to talk to everyone in line and also sign autographs and take pics. She was so sweet to everyone. They intentionally came out to talk with us no just happened to be walking by thing. A few minutes later Butch Vig came out too. Nicest guy.

here are some pics:

a autograph

Butch

Shirley looking fierce

I will post some better pics later that I took with my point and shoot. These were with my iPhone.

Whoa, that's awesome. I guess I'll have to take a half day and get down to Chicago early.

yep.. didn't run.. I am still in awe how nice and down to earth they were. She kept saying during the show how great it was that and how they appreciated us. She was funny too. She messed up the lyrics during one of the songs and made fun at herself for doing it..
