Fever Ray!

So I went to the Lowlands festival this weekend, and I just happened to walk past a stage when these people were playing and I fell in love with them immediately! Here's a clip from Lowlands:

Very creepy, but I loved every minute of it and it was the first cd I ordered when I got home. Here's some stuff from their site:

Does anybody know more about these peeps, or similar stuff?

Fever Ray is one person, half of The Knife.

I could've sworn we had a thread on her...

Love the album.

Karin Dreijer Andersson

I thought we did too, I was actually going to drag it out a few days ago. Weird, can't find it now. I still prefer The Knife overall, but the Fever Ray album is extremely solid for a solo album / side project type thing. Full album wise, it's probably more consistent than The Knife's debut and Deep Cuts. If you don't have it already, go get Silent Shout, Dr. Teeth. You won't be disappointed!

She's one of my best new discoveries this year I actually prefer her solo album to The Knife (which I also like a lot).
