Favorite songs of 2009

I'm sure there are. And The Strokes aren't horrible. They were just a bit one-note, and now they're just over. Nobody cares. They certainly aren't worth mentioning in the same breath as the White Stripes, who broke through around the same time.

Also, Albert Hammond's solo album was better than the two full-band follow-ups.

And I haven't heard the Little Joy album yet, but it's named after the hipster bar across the street from my house, where Fabrizio liked to hang out.

I really, really enjoy the Little Joy album. Haven't listened to it in a while but it might be a good time to bust it out again because it has a pretty palpable summery vibe about it, and it's finally starting to feel like summer around here. Anyways, I'd recommend it. Good stuff.
