1. Accelerate

That's all I've heard!

I bought the In Time: Best of R.E.M. album this summer and liked it a lot so I bought Accelerate when it came out later.

I've done a lot of Wiki-ing R.E.M. in the last couple days and I am planning on buying these CD's in the next couple weeks or months...

-- Murmur
-- Automatic For The People
-- New Adventures in Hi-Fi
-- Out of Time

Can't wait to hear them all! :hyper:

the most underrated album by them and possibly of all time is Monster

the songwriting is amazing on that record, i believe it hasnt been received as well by REM fans or neutrals alike because a. it was the album following up automatic for the people b. it is loud, noisy and messy and people will be put off by that

it takes a long time to like the album Monster. but read into the lyrics of songs like: Crush With Eyeliner, I Took Your Name, Strange Currencies, Tongue, Circus Envy

and alas: Let Me In  and you'll know why that album is good

Wasn't it received very well at the time by the general public AND REM fans?

It hasn't stood the test of time for me.
