The first few songs scared me a little bit, and then things got down to business. They did lull me to sleep though on one of the last tracks, and so I spent the end of the album in this awesome dreamy state. So, that was nice.

I like. Need to get quite a few more listens in.

It's pretty good, not great, a bit limp though perhaps necessary transitional record. 7.1, if I had to Pitchfork it. It's definitely not as explosive or surprising as the last one, though it's still a lot of fun.

I was listening to samples of this today whilst fielding phone calls from my agitated (with good reason) mother-in-law. It wasn't helping.

So I listened to the new record. I like it. It's not as good as the first one, but that sometimes happens with second albums. It's fine and worth owning. I also got a ticket to go see them a week from Saturday.
