Tomorrow they play the Phoenix in Toronto....a small club. I've been trying my best to get tickets...

I know the Minneapolis venue I saw them at on Friday released tickets around noon the day of the show. I bought them through the band's fan club before the sale date and did the VIP route too. As the pictures show below, it was worth every penny. :)

The two shows I caught Friday and Saturday definitely had them playing as good as I've ever seen them. On top of that, the Minneapolis show ended my streak of never seeing the band front row dead center. In a small club, none the less! I can also say now that I've seen my top three favorite bands in the front row as well (U2 and Foo Fighters being the other two).

Great spot! I usually go and stand on JT's side about 1 row back (just behind the VIP'ers). I agree they are playing better than they ever have. now is the time to see them (heh)

I'm excited to see them! I'm planning on LA Nokia Theatre for sure. Maybe Valley Center but I don't know, kind of far and in the middle of nowhere. it is a bday show though, so I kind of want to go...

I'll have to wait for the general sale since I'm not a dd.notcalm member.

The site staff was really helpful but it was still pretty annoying.

In the end, I was scared I would miss the site's pre-sale and purchased a code on ebay :shifty: for $2.99 to get tickets through the Ticketmaster pre-sale. I scored two tickets for the Las Vegas show so I'm happy. I wish I had thought of that before giving the site $35 but whatever, life goes on.

I'm so excited to see them again. This time I will get in line EARLY.

someone was selling presale codes? :huh: Did you pay the $35 on DDM and buy the TM code?

and it's also looking likely that i'll be able to catch them this summer! so far one date's been confirmed in the states for chicago. :hyper: i'm really hoping for an atlanta date but i'll take what i can get.
 
I had this humorous post written about Duran Duran fans being bitchy about the same ol hits being played like U2 fans are, but then I remembered that Glee doesn't count as music.
 
lol, it really is just like u2 fans. i don't care about glee so i don't even know what songs are being done. i might watch the episode to hear how awful they sound (i hope to god whatshername doesn't do one of the songs, umm...rachel i think her name is?) but yeah.

and even with setlists, it's all "zomg they're so static!" although in this case they really are static because the sets are the exact same night after night. :wink:
