I think the new album is great. A sad and bitter breakup album, to be sure. But I think it's gorgeous, and the very personal and intimate lyrical touches work for me. Good shit, I'm glad I finally got around to it after a few months.

Yeah, I still need to check it out myself. I heard Dave on an episode of Song Exploder recently and it definitely made me more interested.

He tries as hard as he possibly can to make you dislike the album, but it's good, for sure. Little Bubble is one of the songs of the year.

I believe it might be The Deputy's #1 record of the year thus far.
