I'm Not in Love (1975) is absolutely gorgeous, that 256-voice wash that covers the track is like nothing else from the period. That song deserves a lot of credit for its studio experimentation and for having the guts to be a single without a beat of any kind.

It would have been a better fit on my Freedom Rock list though. Doobie Brothers keyboards and all that.

Never really liked it myself, but my mother had it on 45 when I was a kid, so it does spur nostalgic memories for me.

Of course, she also had Afternoon Delight.

Already, I'm starting to download the Group 3 links and it looks like Liam's is dead?

Listening to 212's list now.

Cobbs, you've listened to Murmur...right?

The only R.E.M. albums I've listened to in full are Automatic for the People and Accelerate. I also own Lifes Rich Pageant although I've not listened to it yet.

Alrighty. Those four are pretty different from one another; I think Murmur is one of the most mysterious albums ever, and so I find it endlessly compelling.

I half been half-heartedly doing those. When I can get to my computer, while listening, it's obviously easier.

I listened to your list today, Niels, but I think I'm gonna have to play it again tomorrow. Just wasn't feeling it, because work kept calling me away.

You're totally right. I was listening to that as I was walking about, and so didn't have a pen and paper in front of me. I'll get something to you later today.
