You familiar with much of their other material?

I think the best thing they ever did was before they were the Headless Chickens, when they were a post-punk band called Children's Hour who released a five-track EP beginning with this incredible song called Caroline's Dream. Cruise Control, Mr Moon, Railway Surfing, George, Inside Track, etc. may have all been great songs by the Chooks, but if you ask me, they never did find anything quite as visceral and amazing as Caroline's Dream again ...

i'm assuming a mini island is a DI list half the length as a normal one?

Yep, 80:00 and not a second more.

I've thrown together a bit of a list already too. It needs more work, but on the whole I think it's promising.

Probably George or Gaskrankinstation. George went #1 in New Zealand back in the day, the only #1 in the history of Flying Nun Records.

Some people are zealous! I'd imagine this won't happen til May or June. And I'll probably be a last-minute entry this time. Heh.

I wouldn't mind giving it a crack, seeing as it's a mini and everything.

What dates and/or format are you considering? I would like to participate, but I have an extremely hectic July and August approaching.

I was moving my old DIs over to my iPod the other day and felt like I was getting into playlist mode again, so I'm definitely in.

Unless anyone objects, I think for this one we were going to do a straight mini version of regular DI.

The July/August timeframe was what I was looking at, although based on past tournaments, we take a while to get through everything, so who knows how long it will go.
