I am in no condition to collaborate at this juncture.

Gus reigns supreme.

well Impy there were a lot of very good songs on your list. i have to side with Cassie, though I'll go a step further - Twisted Words is pretty shit, in my opinion.

i especially liked the inclusion of Home (that was #15 in Triple J's Hottest 100 last year, the world's largest fan voted poll), that's a great song. that and Heart Swells were the only songs i knew and i enjoyed most of the rest of it, save for a few songs i didn't care for.

Liam, you're up next.

Apparently I'm the only person who couldn't stand "Home." It was kind of funny and painfully cute and adorable, but so incredibly blah to me. Oh well.

i still can't figure which list of mine to use. boo.

I'm still agonising over mine too. Don't know why; no matter what little change I make, it won't suddenly become popular.

(But for the record, I'm not doing the metal list this time around. DI is safe ... for now. Watch out, DI VIII.)

Dear God, are you still whining about a popular list?

You know, if it was just the Basterd's list, it would of course be good. My involvement might torpedo the whole thing. We'll see.

I doubt it.

My name's YLB and I GET BUCKETS.

We're working on our list at getting away from the cops speed.

That's not what I said. But how dare I try to make a list that people might enjoy, rather than yet another that gets ignored or rubbished.

I listened to Imp-jaunt's list today. I really enjoyed it. I had a good amount of the tracks already (he and Tourist both had a lot of overlap to my collection), and the ones I hadn't heard before certainly didn't disappoint. And as always, he kills it with flow* 'n' shit.

To summarize: IMPEROR ... HIT THAT ONE FROM THE PARKING LOT!

*WTF?

the more you assume that everyone is going to ignore your list, the more tempted I am to do so.

it's not one of my favourite songs or anything, and that little chat bit is kind of, weird, but i grew to like it quite a bit.

that Washed Out song was pretty great too.

Went to the gym with elmel's lis, then realized I forgot to make it a play list on my phone. Will have to wait til I get home :(

For all the talk of how inaccessible Liam's lists are, I've really been looking forward to his. About to start it now. This should be a shorter running diary progressive commentary than average; even if I commented on each song as I went, that would only be like five posts.

It got about as many listens as the average DI6 list. We must be getting more insular as we go.

I loved the first three tracks and the flow has been great. It's a shame that Rush is far too awesome and LastEdgeOnEarth-approved for my mortal mind to comprehend.

I'll avoid mentioning the flow, which I believe we've all agreed is good to make my first comment on the fact that that is the first New Pornographers track I can actively recall hearing, and oh my God, I loved it. I thought they'd sound like Neko Case, so I was skeptical about listening to them.

Really, really liked that song.

"She Bangs The Drums" :cute:

Oh, I'm really glad. You'd best get on the bandwagon now, because you're going to be hearing a lot about them from me when this new album comes out. :D I should have suggested you hear Twin Cinema before you started making your top 50 of the '00s list.

Hahaha, that transition between Willie and Tom Waits is awesome XD.

This rather down stretch of the list from America > Lonely (and it's not over yet), is right up my rather dour alley, so I'm loving the hell out of this.

This list is fucking great, Liam. Flows beautifully (in spite of some rather unfortunate cuts, such as the beginning and end of When You Sleep, as well as Ascension Day), and it has a very unique vibe about it all. That Keith Jarret composition was gorgeous.
