Bumped because having three threads about David Bowie on the first page is better than having three Red Hot Chili Pepper threads on the first page.

Apparently, Bowie topped poll as most wanted headliner for Glastonbury 2013, doubt it'll happen, but you never know.

browsing nme site other day, apparently he's decided to retire, well buggar me, if not releasing an album in 8yrs, and hardly any live appearances since 2006 weren't enough clues.

Listening to some early material at the moment, London Bye Ta Ta, I Dig Everything, Let Me Sleep Beside You, etc, this man is truly a genius, has he ever released anything other than musical excellence, and before anyone says Tin Machine, please go and listen to it again, and actually listen to it, and tell me Heavens In Here, Prisoner Of Love, I Can't Read, Under The God, Amazing, Baby Universal, One Shot, You Belong In R'n'R, Amlapura, Shopping For Girls, Goodbye Mr.Ed aren't classic BOWIE, the guy is a F*$KING GENIUS!!!!!

Tin Machine is awesome, I play the first album frequently. And it's better than anything else Bowie put out in the 80's aside from Scary Monsters.

Maybe something, maybe not, but according to the Bowie wonderworld site, Robert Fripp, posted an update on his own site about visiting Mr. Bowie, who "indirectly presented some interesting ideas" to him, also in attendance a certain Mr. Eno, something on the horizon involving Bowie, Eno, & Fripp?

It's from Robert Fripp's "diary", too, which is more encouraging than a fan posting on a forum.

Archive footage, believed to have been lost, of Bowie & The Spiders performing The Jean Genie, from 1973, is to be broadcast on a Top Of The Pops Christmas special on Weds. 21st Dec, BBC 2, 7:30pm, in the UK
