I feel compelled to bump this thread once more. I'm absolutely enthralled with their music, yet again! Robin Guthrie reminds me of why I want to learn how to play the electric guitar someday.

It's nice to know that it's possible to feel incredibly passionate about a band repeatedly and over long periods of time.

Yeah, I don't get the lyrics either but she could sing the phone book for all I care.

You're the match of Jericho that will burn this whole madhouse down.

That's about the only line I understand from my favorite song by them.

"Bottle of exquisite stuff"? I dunno what it means.
She could still get me to do anything with that voice.

Frankly, I think all of it is great. If you're more into "Treasure," try out their other 1980s albums and you'll probably be happy ("Garlands," their first album, is the only one that sounds completely different, which sounds more post-punk). If you're more into "Heaven or Las Vegas," try their two 1990s albums, which are very pretty sounding, and of which I'm quite enamored with lately.
