Coachella 2011 YouTube Stream

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Black Keys on at 11:15 pm PT.

Its cool that they are streaming it
I'll have to keep checking back over the next two nights.

I think I'm just staying on Channel 2 for most of tonight. The New Pornographers, followed by The Kills, followed by Big Audio Dynamite, followed by Elbow.

I forgot to look for Robyn's set, but I'm glad I checked tonight - Elbow and Arcade Fire!

Does anyone know if the sets aired be kept online to watch later? I might not make it up past midnight.

Before "Lippy Kids," Garvey did a little talk about what the song is about and how it's wrong to look at young people as criminals for no reason. He wrapped up the mini-speech by saying "And that's the end of the Bono bit."

Awesome set by Arcade Fire. Very similar setlist to the show I saw on Monday. They just kill it live.

I thought the stream was live, but considering it was still daylight (a little) when Elbow's set was going on and I watched it at 10:30 last night, I realized it wasn't live at all.

They re-aired the Arcade Fire set this morning, and I caught most of that.

I'm going to try and catch Duran Duran tonight.

were you watching an encore of them? i noticed that they have some encore showings of the more popular bands, which is awesome.

I don't think so. It had Elbow listed as being aired at 10:05 or something like that, but based on FitzChivalry's Facebook comments after seeing them, and the Coachella sky in the background, they'd obviously played earlier in the evening or late afternoon.

Do you think YouTube knew that there would be boobies in the stream*? Ha.

*the original title of Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers' duet Islands In the Stream. True fact.

No, they were playing the old Chauffer video in the background while they played the song. It's got boobz.

My computer shut down randomly - no warning or anything, just black screen and done - TWICE last night during Elbow's set. And it just did it again. :(

I'm not sure if maximizing the video to fill the screen is wonking with my computer, or if imminent laptop meltdown is imminent.

It's never done that before. and now the stream page won't load - it keeps freezing. :(

It seems some of the stuff is live, some isn't. Like right now Duran Duran is really live. But yesterday a bunch of bands like Elbow weren't. Same thing with Friday when they showed the Black Keys late.
yeah, i noticed on the youtube page it mentioned this. it said something to the effect of some acts are shifted to other times to maximise festival somethingorother. basically i guess if two acts are on at the same time that they think a lot of people want to see, one will get moved to a later slot.

Strokes, who write some of the most brightly colored music at this festival, are being streamed in black and white.

"Under Cover of Darkness" sounds right in place coming after the classic "Hard to Explain."

The quality of this is fucking excellent. Damn.

New York City Cops.

Julian censoring himself, again. :cute:

What a short set. Their set at Lolla was significantly longer. Still kicked ass, though.

PJ Harvey now.

ha ha I was laughing when they started playing the video to Duran's "The Chauffeur". Although, those can barely be counted as boobies?
