Beach Fossils - Clash the Truth

Ungh! This album. I haven't had such an intense first listen love since...well...Holy Fire by Foals, BUT THAT'S NEITHER HERE NOR THERE!

Behold the dream poppy goodness!

Their debut's pretty great too, imo, but this knocks it out of the water.

Oh, also, they did a song with Jack Tatum (pretty much Wild Nothing)

First listen = not bad. I'll listen again soon but it's time for some Nick Cave right now.

I listened to both back to back and they're both pretty great. I am happy with 2013. QUITE happy.

Yeah, this is a pretty decent album, though it doesn't leave that strong a mark on me. I enjoy it when it's on but forget almost everything about it as soon as it's over.

Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

The last album blew, but I'm feeling this. It's a nice album. The hints of shoegaze in a couple spots are a nice touch.
