I don't understand why your prisoner culture country gets it 2 weeks before we do.

Because they will all steal it if they don't get it early.

Because we're better than you, and we know it.

As it turns out, Laura is a bit of a red herring. It's still my favourite song, and it almost jerked a few tears last night, but all the other tracks have beats of some description. Not complaining, because there wasn't a bad song, but Laura is the stand out for me.

From what I gathered from the lyrics this album is about night time and sex.

So what do you think overall, Cobbler? How does it compare to Two Suns, assuming you are familiar with it?

I'm sure it will surprise no one to know that I'm not familiar with Two Suns, but I really liked it all the same. I have to admit that by the time I got towards the end (it's over 50 minutes long) I was a little fatigued by the similarity of some of the beats, but overall I really liked it and I'll definitely be coming back to it.

It's not?

There's one track with some plunderphonics, and the closer is fantastic. I liked Laura even more inside the album, and it's overall superb. I think I liked every song on this one, but it had no songs I loved, while Two Suns had a few tracks I didn't like, but three or four nearly perfect numbers.

I like what I'm hearing on this album, but the production is a bit disappointing. Very dry, not as lush or grandiose as Two Suns, which was part of the appeal for me. A lot of these songs feel empty to me right now, like I'm waiting for them to explode and they never quite do. That more often than not is an earmark of growers though.

As far as individual songs go, Horses of the Sun is the Kate Bushiest Kate Bush song to ever Kate Bush a Kate Bush, Oh Yeah is a dud, Laura is much stronger in context. I think Marilyn is my favorite on first go. Even if it's not within miles of Daniel, it still brings the goods in a major way.

Ms. Khan does not disappoint. There are some absolute gems on here, material of as high a caliber or even higher than anything on Two Suns. The opener and Marilyn especially are sublime.

Lilies is indeed great. How good is that "thank god I'm alive" bit?

I like Marilyn and All Your Gold a lot as well, but I honestly think Laura is the song of the year.
