B&C's New Album Release Calendar

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I'm looking forward more to the Belle and Sebastian compilation.

I'm listening to this now on Spotify. It's a far cry from Push Barman quality, but still enjoyable. Only $10.99 on Amazon at the moment... :hmm:

Maybe I should give B&S another try. I've heard Boy with the Arab Strap (I think that's the title) and If You're Feeling Sinister once each, but they never registered with me.

Well don't pull a Cobbler and start with this new one, it's a collection of recent b-sides.

Shearwater covers album, Fellow Travelers, will be released Nov. 26th on Sub Pop.

Man, I wanted to spring for the Loser Edition of that Shearwater covers album, but I'm not about to spend $7.50 on shipping and handling for a $14 record.

Guys, I know you were all waiting eagerly for this and I am CERTAINLY not one to let you down. Without further ado:

Hello Ashley!
It is entirely appropriate that - as we've been counting down to today's Erasure announcement - I have been feeling like a kid waiting for Christmas. It really has been that exciting, waiting to be able to share the first official news of the brand new Erasure album with you all!
The wait is thankfully over, and here's everything I can tell you right now, with exciting quotes about the project from Andy Bell and Vince Clarke…
ERASURE TO RELEASE 'SNOW GLOBE' IN NOVEMBER
The new Erasure album will be called 'Snow Globe', and it's a collection of thirteen original compositions and seasonal classics. The album will be released on 11th November 2013 in the UK, and within a day or two of that date everywhere else. 'Snow Globe' isn't a Christmas album in the traditional sense, and the press release for the album sums it up better than I can by describing the album as being "possessed of something more in the wistfully, strangely subdued celebratory mould of recent seasonal albums by Tracey Thorn and Kate Bush." Not that 'Snow Globe' sounds like either of those records of course, 'Snow Globe' is 110% pure Erasure and I promise that you're going to love it. :)
"I haven’t actually heard Andy sing better." - Vince Clarke
'SNOW GLOBE' ARTWORK
If you've been on the Erasure website this week you will have noticed that it has taken on a whole new colour-scheme to fit the new album release, and here's the very first peep at the album cover those colours and elements have been taken from. I love it and I hope you all do too!

"I found my inner choirboy again. I thought I’d lost him but he was there all along." - Andy Bell
ERASURE COVER MEDIEVAL CAROL 'GAUDETE' FOR THE FIRST SINGLE FROM 'SNOW GLOBE'
The album will be preceded by a single, Gaudete, which is Vince and Andy's distinctive interpretation of the Medieval Christmas carol that was also a folk hit for Steeleye Span in 1973. More details about that as soon as I'm able...
"We managed to strip everything back to bare essentials, White Christmas almost has a drone all the way through it. I love that." - Vince Clarke
I know that many of you will also be anxious for news of the next Erasure tour and, although there won't be a tour around the actual release of this album, the good news is that the band are looking at all sorts of opportunities for next year, so keep your fingers crossed that they'll be somewhere near you very soon!
It's only September, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that it's starting to look a lot like Christmas…
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Richard

I'm so excited...I can hardly contain my joy...:|

(But tour next year, I hope :hyper: )

Hi folks. I've had my head in the sand musically for the last few weeks. Between covering down for furloughed colleagues during the shutdown, moonlighting on weekends to make up for lost income, and running two half marathons, I have had very little discretionary time.

Anyway, time to get this calendar up and running again. Please let me know if there are updates or release announcements that I've missed in the last few weeks.

Glasser has a new album out as of 10/07 - I don't remember much buzz here about her debut, but it was a distinctive electronica album with a lot of personality.

VNV Nation has a new album out in Europe right now, called Transnational. It releases in the US on November 19th. It appears to be up on Spotify now, but I haven't heard it yet. Their last album may be my overall favorite album they've ever done, so I look forward to seeing what this one is like.
