I like that album, too. Still haven't heard the first one in full yet, just heard a few songs here and there from it. But I liked what I did hear.

May 7th, eh? Cool. Look forward to hearing what they come up with next.

Hopefully they've completely changed their sound and band members. Maybe the name is still negotiable too.

I liked Contra but it was very light and fluffy. Not much substance there. I lump Vampire Weekend in with those innocuous indie bands who are good, but inexplicably overrated given their music.

Snoop Dogg - Reincarnated ("early" 2013)

Eels - Wonderful, Glorious (February 5th, 2013)

Thao & The Get Down Stay Down - We the Common (February 5th, 2013)

Iamiwhoami - bounty (June 3, 2013)

Iceage - You're Nothing (February 19th, 2013)

Earl Sweatshirt - Doris (TBA)

Darwin Deez - Songs for Imaginative People (February 11th, 2013)

Man, I forgot all about that thing. All that mystery and pop intrigue. Did they/he/she have an album out already? If not, boy, I'd say they missed the interest window, because I'd forgotten about all about it just about forever ago.

Although I guess even if they did release something and the "mystery" was "revealed", I still forgot about it.

Wasn't there a big tease before their initial release? Like there was some manufactured mystery about who was behind the artist? Like it was some other pop artist under another name or something? I remember a few blogs talking about it, and there were snippets of music being released. Am I crazy?

But yeah, obviously I lost interest and they just fell right off my radar. Heh.

(Edit: I refreshed my memory via Wikipedia, and am relieved to see I'm not crazy. One of the music blogs I used to follow was all over those clips.)

It was a big art exhibit or something, that's all I know. Great music.
