The mass PM'ing idea might work.

It could work; at the least it could get a couple of people back into it

We can threaten violence to family members, break fingers, stuff like that. I bet that would increase participation.

I think the problem is that there are so many artists here that people don't like. Personally I stopped voting because I was tired of giving of giving a zero to almost half the artists. Plus my vote won't really matter.

Single votes in the end actually do matter a lot; in a lot of matches it's the single person's vote that turns it from draw to a win, or win to a draw (which at times annoys me greatly)

The thing is there's always gonna be Artists people don't like considering the deverse range of tastes on here. And the random selection system used to pick some of the low levels bands means Artists like Jacques Brel who nobody knows got in; but if the Artist League goes on for a second season eight of the unknowns will be replaced by (Hopefully) more well known bands who missed the cut last time because people simply forgot. But if particpation remains really low that won't happen.

So, after this "season," we'll have some sort of nomination process to add more bands?

It's kind of a crime that Franz Ferdinand isn't in on this. Same with Mute Math.
