I love Normal Person.

Does anybody else in here feel the way I do?

Yes, and double points if that's a reference to Vera.

Also, It's Never Over might be climbing onto my AF Rushmore. That riff is vicious, and I love the way it plays against expectations at the end by going ambient instead of bringing the guitar back in.

Every new Arcade Fire album makes my Mount Rushmore more difficult to figure out. Mainly because I have to decide between a Funeral track and a new song.

At the moment, it's:

Neighborhood #3
Rebellion (Lies)
Sprawl II
Afterlife

Rebellion
Keep the Car Running
We Used to Wait
It's Never Over

...I think.

It could just as easily be Power Out, Wake Up, Intervention, and Sprawl II.

Hmmmm .....

Tunnels
Power Out
Laika
Rebellion
Wake Up
Keep the Car Running
Intervention
No Cars Go
Ready to Start
Sprawl II
Reflektor

That's a lot. I guess it's more a list of These Are the Arcade Fire Songs That Make Me Really Happy, And Please Don't Make Me Order Them.

I'm not even going to pretend to be diplomatic here. Funeral > all.

Tunnels
Power Out
Wake Up
Rebellion

Excluding Funeral:

Ocean of Noise
Ready to Start
Sprawl II
It's Never Over

THERE'S ONLY FOUR PRESIDENTS ON MT. RUSHMORE, PEOPLE.

You don't get to include John Adams, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, and Rutherford B. Fucking Hayes too.

I don't know why this made me laugh as hard as it did.

Anyways:

Suburban War
Rebellion (Lies)
Intervention
Afterlife

Which is just me doing one from each album, I guess.

These three are definitely on mine:

Tunnels
Power Out
Haiti

Not sure about the last one. It's one of:
Laika
Wake Up
We Used To Wait
Reflektor
It's Never Over

Funeral is just too good.

I didn't even see the part where there were a limited number of giant stone heads we got to include on our lists. Oops.

Oh well. I'm not editing it.

Mine will just be an Easter Island list instead.

I am seeing these guys live for the first time tonight. I'm super excited. Fuck exams and all that, you know.

Thay are actually quite good live. Who'd have thought?

Seriously though, they were amazing. They're so much fun and put on a great show. Régine is probably the star of said show. I love her. They played my favorite songs off of Funeral which was good and songs that I don't like all that much on record were greatly improved, most notably Here Comes the Night Time which was one of the highlights. Other highlights include Ready to Start, No Cars Go, Power Out and of course Wake Up. Is that the best show closer ever? My only complaint is that the show should have been longer really. Well, the sound wasn't good during the first few songs which ruined Rebellion a bit.

Setlist
Normal Person
Rebellion (Lies)
Joan of Arc
Rococo
The Suburbs
The Suburbs (Continued)
Ready to Start
Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
We Exist
No Cars Go
Haïti
Afterlife
It's Never Over (Oh Orpheus)
Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)
Reflektor

Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
Flashbulb Eyes
Here Comes the Night Time
Wake Up

Except for Flashbulb Eyes, everything from Ready to Start on is awesome. Pretty bad start though. Rebellion needs to return to its rightful place beside Power Out.
