If Murphy for some reason produces this thing, it would probably be the most anticipated indie release in a long while, wouldn't it?

They're not strictly indie but I think most people would still call them that, as in popular amongst people who'd call themselves music lovers...

And come to think of it, Radiohead are indie strictly speaking. They're definitely independent.

Radiohead and Arcade Fire are indie? Lol.

Yes they are. They are both on independent labels. It's not a measure of popularity. And even if it were a measure of popularity, Arcade Fire would still be indie. The nonplussed reactions to their Grammy win a few years back are proof enough of that.

Radiohead were on a major label for years. The fact that they are on their own now does not classify them as an indie band. That's like saying Poison is indie since they are no longer on a major either.

I think there's a difference in the sense that Radiohead elected to be independent. I doubt that was the case for Poison.

Radiohead plays to stadiums internationally. They had heavy rotation on MTV back in the day.

They're not fucking indie no matter how weird their music gets.

Probably shouldn't expect a tour this year...

Wasn't King of Limbs announced and released in a 24 hour period? Not much to anticipate
It was one week, and the excitement during that short period of time was insane for a music release, at least in our little world.
