Is anyone a fan of Aphex Twin's music? I've been listening to more and more of Richard D. James' stuff over the last couple of months and just can't get enough of it really. Such a wealth of texture and sonic experimentation, truly an original artist.

Has anyone heard or have an opinion on The Tuss' material (which is a James moniker)? Does anyone have any idea if he will be touring any time soon, I know his last output as Aphex Twin was 'Drukqs' in 2001, does that mean that moniker is retired??

Hopefully people could enlighten me on these points, and generally just discuss the brilliance of Aphex Twin. :D

Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat. Very strong melodies, and generally pleasant. I have no idea what anything after that sounds like, so I'm of no help there. I just find that album far more pleasing and less monotonous than its contemporaries.

i can't offer enlightenment but I love his work

Richard D. James album is in my top 10 albums ever list
and it's hard to beat stuff like Classics and Selected Ambient ... for sheer quality

I ahve fallen in love with Drukqs again this year :hmm:

still to buy the more recent AFX releases
