5. Chaka Khan
6. The Wallflowers
7. Styx
8. The Pointer Sisters

Fuck, I got so tired of these artists a couple of years back.

Kraftwerk albums that I have heard, in the order in which I attained them:

1. Trans-Europe Express
2. Radio-Activity
3. Autobahn

I look forward to more.

*sigh* Goodbye discourse.

Artists on my local 70s-80s station way too much:
1. Led Zeppelin
2. The Beatles
3. Jimi Hendrix
4. Fleetwood Mac
5. Queen
6. The Eagles

....ghhh.

You can't have too much of those first three. I love Fleetwood Mac, but yeah, I get bored with the Rumours tracks after a while, especially Don't Stop, which can go die whenever. Queen I get tired of too. The Eagles are one of the worst bands in the world.

Reasons why I'm tacking a pointless list to the bottom of my post:

1. Scumbo

Discourse >Lists, but, if we don't make lists then U2popmofo will shoot us all dead, and nobody wants that.

No such thing as too much Zeppelin.

No such thing as too much Zeppelin.

On the radio, there is.

What tends to play on the radio when I turn it on:

1. Led Zeppelin
2. Led Zeppelin
3. Led Zeppelin
4. Black Sabbath
5. Huey Lewis and the News
6. Katy Perry (or something else equally terrible)
7. stuff I listen to. Occasionally.

I was going to start this thread, and name it something along the lines of Scumbo/Mofo's List Thread, given he loves lists with no discussion.

1-3 sounds perfect.

 Come live in Oakland. Just a little variety would be nice. They keep playing the same Zeppelin over and over again...

(wow, actually not that hard to make lists and discourse :giggle:)

Led Zeppelin songs on the radio here:

1. Stairway To Heaven
2. Stairway To Heaven
3. Kashmir
4. When The Levee Breaks
5. Communication Breakdown
6. Kashmir again
7. Immigrant Song
8. Whole Lotta Love
9. Battle of Evermore
10. some random hard to name one occasionally

I lived in Alameda for a year, so, I was just a short tunnel or bridge crossing from Oakland at all times. But then I left.

That being said, I never, ever, EVER listen to the radio, just my iPod or CD's.....but, of course, hearing too much of any one band can be overkill....variety = spice of life and all.....

 I seem to be encountering a lot of California people today. Whoa.

What's funny is when the music on my iPod stops having variety so I turn to radio...the irony...

You encountered me yesterday, too, when I mentioned having lived in Alameda (told you about the Fox Theater, etc) , so maybe I don't count for today. :)

What the hell are you guys doing? Scumbo is on his fucking way, NSW. Your days are numbered.

Since he's on horseback, I'd say 9 or 10.

It's awfully flattering that you do not recall a conversation from 24 hours ago. :) That, or, you're insanely prematurely senile.

I'm sorry  It's probably because I went into PLEBA for like a second a couple hours afterward and the sheer number of unknown just-met people there is kind of exhausting.

Ok. List time.

Stuff I listened to today.

1. Lowline
2. White Stripes
3. Led Zeppelin
4. Joy Division
5. U2

Holy shit.

Obligatory list:

Five random albums from my iTunes:

1. One Voice - Agnostic Front
2. Blank Generation - Richard Hell & The Voidoids
3. Static Age - The Misfits
4. The Undertones - The Undertones
5. Fear And Whiskey - Mekons

Highly recommended, all.

Interesting. In my experience, it seems like their entire catalogue gets pretty well represented on classic rock radio.

Although, yeah, I think Whole Lotta Love is probably the Zeppelin song I've heard the most in my life on the radio.

Stairway still gets a ton of play, of course. And I've noticed Ramble On shows up a lot, too.

top 5 favorite bouncing souls songs:

1. kids and heroes
2. true believers
3. kate is great
4. gone
5. bullying the jukebox

i wonder how many times i've ever listened to maniacal laughter or ghosts on the boardwalk. maybe twice each. bad souls fan.

if you only listened to the classic rock station here, you'd think zeppelin only had 3 songs:

1. rock n roll
2. black dog
3. whole lotta love

According to my radio station, the only rock bands in existence are :

1. AC/DC
2. The Rolling Stones
3. Led Zeppelin

I feel your pain.

Interesting. In my experience, it seems like their entire catalogue gets pretty well represented on classic rock radio.

There is about 1 station near me that tends to play all their stuff...and next to nothing else...the rest have only their big hits though.

Songs in my head all at once:

1. David Bowie—Space Oddity
2. Coldplay—God Put A Smile Upon Your Face
3. Mott the Hoople—All The Young Dudes
4. Joy Divison—Isolation

This is one weird song mix...

Songs That Make Me Hate the Fuckin' Eagles, Man:

1. Hotel California

Top five Eagles songs, even if the band is anathema around these parts:

1. Tequila Sunrise
2. Take It Easy
3. I Can't Tell You Why
4. One of These Nights
5. Witchy Woman
