Have you not heard The Man Who Sold The World? Top 5 Bowie album for me.

I agree with your Station To Station ranking almost exactly. Obviously don't agree fully with most others, it's just not possible.

You know what? I actually have, but only once, and it's not on my itunes. Forgot I owned it. I'll import it now...

Wild is the Wind over Word on a Wing? And yeah, true. But that's the great thing about Bowie. His catalogue is so varied everyone has a different opinion.

It's his most underrated, I'd say, although I haven't really dug into the shitty portion of his discography yet. Overlooked is probably the better term anyway; most people that have heard it enjoy it.

I would shift Station To Station down one or two, I think. TVC15 is in the right place, WITW vs WOAW is a toss-up. Above all, Stay kicks ass.

I would say so. Young Americans is also a lot of fun, if a bit frivolous. The two singles are bloody sublime.

Lance loves it so much he can't even form a complete sentence.

I say I love Bowie (and I do), but I've never really delved too far into his discography. I should really correct that, especially since I have, like, five of his albums and various other tracks from DI and such.

Yeah, still haven't spent enough time with Bowie's catalogue, but right now this is my definite top two:

1. Ziggy
2. Hunky Dory

Top 15 of 2011, as of now:

1. Destroyer - Kaputt
2. PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
3. Kurt Vile - Smoke Ring For My Halo
4. CunninLynguists - Oneirology
5. Beastie Boys - Hot Sauce Committee Part Two
6. The Dodos - No Color
7. Washed Out - Within And Without
8. M83 - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming
9. White Denim - D
10. St. Vincent - Strange Mercy
11. Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
12. The War On Drugs - Slave Ambient
13. Pains of Being Pure At Heart
14. Wilco - The Whole Love
15. Arctic Monkeys - Suck It And See

Last second re-listens will shuffle this around significantly. I wouldn't be surprised if The Whole Love cracks the top 10, and there are some killer hip-hop artists out there (Curren$y, Action Bronson) that need more love. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out, because I haven't listened to as much new shit as I did last year, making this list far less steady.

I've listened to it more than most, it's a very addicting record. Great hooks all over the fucking place.

Hellcat Spangled Shalalala is one of my favorite songs of the year.
