I know some people think that 400-800 had some cooler tunes, but personally I thought that was kind of a dark age for music. I much prefer this stuff.

It was the heydey of the lute, which warrants mentioning. Sting tried to bring it back, that's why he's in the superior 1975-1985 thread, where all of the creativity and ethereal lies.
