Some guy on ateaseweb.com alerted fans about this amazing event which EMI has mysteriously not publicized!

It's dirt cheap, too. This is one good thing about EMI being pissed off with Radiohead. The band should have just let them release this stuff years ago. I'm so glad it's coming out because I hate dealing with compressed picture and sound or having to buy stuff from an amateur DVD maker who might screw me over, as one from Peru did on ebay.

I hope the Kid Amnesiac Paris DVD is next!

I really hope they release a live DVD for the In Rainbows Tour, after seeing them live I really think it would look good on an HDTV...

1 million percent yes to this. So many have praised the light show, so it's only fair that everyone get a chance to see it.

Just a correction. The maker isn't EMI, which is a bit worrying. Someone on ateaseweb pointed out how it's by a company called Hudson Street, which explains why it's so cheap because EMI would at least want to charge $16 bucks for it.

This is a bit sad because I was really hoping it meant EMI was going to release tons of footage of Radiohead the band was too self-critical to want released. I just hope the picture is at least as good as it was on TV!

I don't know if any of the 2008 tour was taped. I do know the band has spoken of releasing the 2006 Bonarroo concert on DVD, though. I hope they follow through.

There's a new thread in EYKIW about Hudson Street also releasing a U2 DVD this fall - apparently this Hudson Street owns the rights to a bunch of shows or something.

Innnnnnteresting. :hmm:

i saw that.. i wonder how if they actually did get the rights to release these dvds.

I just want the stuff released if it's in good shape. Why should we wait for 10 more years, if U2's allowed Universal to bugger us by releasing nearly empty bonus discs on extra expensive deluxe editions or if Radiohead is way too critical of their performances to allow us to have this stuff without knowing how to make a DVD out of a torrented file. I just hope it gets released!

I think the U2 DVD is from 1983 -- something called Rockplast -- but I don't know the date of performance.
