Some time in 1989 or 1990 I turned off the TV and ceased my weekly ritual of Top of the Pops after seeing one too many cheesy dance tunes (though I now quite like dance music funnily enough), thereby missing out on this heavenly slice of Britpop before the term 'Britpop' was even coined:-

Remember the big Monster Hits Album from then? From The Beloved to Black Box to Liza to that crazy song 'Blame It On the Boogie'!

Not that specific album, but those tunes you mentioned, yes.
