Rock n' Roll Doggie VIP PASS
This was in my Sunday paper, in the 'confidential chat' section, so I don't know who wrote it, but I thought it was beautiful...
Voices From The Rubble
The Lord called me on with no chance for goodbyes,
you think that I'm gone, that I've closed my eyes
to your heartbreak and sorrow, that just isn't true
a brighter tomorrow is waiting for you
I wanted to stay, and talk to you all
but God chose that day to send me His call
I feel that the how is the reason you grieved
but I'm happier now than I could have believed
Loved ones, I'm sure that you're sick at my fate
it was my time to go, and this call wouldn't wait
Our Father took care that I wasn't afraid
His pledge, I'll be there, was the promise he made
My parents, my children,my spouse, and each friend
I know you are sad that my life had to end
Stick by one another, in close, loving touch
call every man brother, they need you so much
I'm really not more than a minute away
I stand by the door of your memory each day
I hope you'll all dwell on the good times we shared
the things we did well, the way that we cared
To live by the sword is to die by the sword
but vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord
judge all by their pain, not their clothing or skin
Our deaths are in vain if it's hate that will win
Each loved one and friend, go now in peace
with my earthly end, my soul found release
when God calls you, don't fear new life to begin
I'll be waiting right here to say welcome in
