What prayers does Bono say in the Boston Elevation DVD and in the Superbowl before Streets?

This is the text:

What can I give back to God
for the blessings he's poured out on me?
I'll lift high the cup of salvation—a toast to God!
I'll pray in the name of God;
I'll complete what I promised God I'd do,
and I'll do it together with his people.

He used this part at Notre Dame, too:

What can I give back to God
for the blessings he's poured out on me?

Then "For the blessings . . . for the blessings . . . ." then he took off, running around the heart! :love: Good times . . . .

What would be even more beautiful is if everybody LIVED those words. :applaud:

Bono quoted something different at the Super Bowl. I think he said, "Oh Lord, open my lips; let my mouth show forth Thy praise."

Now that's something you don't hear at halftime very often!

I agree, this verse is beautiful. I also have a copy of "The Message" by Eugene Peterson..

He's also been heard saying: "Oh Lord, open my lips So I might show forth thy praise. Oh Lord, open my lips."
