My Excellent Dream

My friends,
I used to have prophetic dreams/dreams from the Lord every once-in-a-while, but have not had one in quite some time. Last night, the dry spell was broken, and the dream I had was glorious – it was so wonderful I had to share it with you.
I dreamed I was being escorted around a hotel by the Lord Jesus, being told which people I needed to pray for. In my dream, the Lord appeared as a kindly salt and pepper hair/moustache/bearded man in his early 50s wearing a simple flannel shirt and blue jeans. I remember feeling so safe and comforted in his presence.
For some reason, I was separated from the Lord and met a man in his late 20s/early 30s, clean shaven, with slicked back, jet black hair. He wore a black suit coat (Miami vice style) with black pants and a white t-shirt. He offered me something (I do not remember what) but that to obtain that something, I had to bow down and worship him.
Now, this is the really cool part, for I believe the Lord allowed me to view scripture prophecy being revealed. I immediately recognized the dapper young man as Satan, and said something to the effect of “No I won’t, but the Word says that you will bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”. Then, I looked behind me, and there stood Christ. And you know what happened, what I saw in my dream? It was awesome. Satan dropped to his knees in front of the Lord and exclaimed “Jesus, you are Lord!”. I remember dropping to my knees and worshipping the Lord, also (in fact, when I did, I actually hugged him around the knees), but I now do not remember if this happened at the end of my dream or earlier.
It was one of the best dreams I have ever had.
Thanks for reading.

W W, 80s. Wow.

Awesome dream....you're both 'lucky' and blessed to have dreams like this! I don't ever have prophetic dreams, but I did have a dream yyyeeeeeaars ago (way B.C.) about The Four Horsemen coming to ravage the earth...and I had a front row seat...I must have been 16? at the time. I didn't know what to make of the dream, but to this day, I still remember it in frightening and vivid detail.

Sounds like a prophetic dream to me. I think the Lord gave you that dream for a reason; maybe it was to give you a glimps of the end times, so that you'd be prepared, and also so that you's try to prepare others by telling them and sharing the Gospel.

ive dreamt about the rapture, quite often as i was younger.

i was very fascinated with that aspect for a long time, and feared it dearly.

now i dont think of it as much any more, rather i think of it as something thats going to happen whether or not i dwell on it or not. you just have to be ready, thats all.

That was some dream 80's...I know that I've never dreamt that realistic, but I do know that that is the way the story will end someday!
