I appreciated Disco's post about books that those who frequent this forum have read, and consider their favorites.

So I've been thinking about other music I listen to (I know that probably shocks some of you that I don't just listen to U2

). So what other favorite music do you listen to, that one artist or album you just can't leave behind, besides U2 of course. I'll begin

- Anything by Dennis Jernigan, but if I had to choose one, The Best of Collection, Volume 1

- Anything by Darryl Evans, but if I had to choose one, Freedom

- Anything by Joe Satriani, but if I had to choose one, Flying In A Blue Dream

- Anything by Phil Keaggy, but if I had to choose one, Crimson and Blue

- Anything by The Beatles, but if I had to choose one, Abbey Road

- Anything by Crystal Lewis, but if I had to choose one, Beauty For Ashes

- Anything by Jennifer Knapp, but if I had to choose one, Lay It Down

I will later add some honorable mentions, cds I couldn't live without. I must admit that I do listen to alot of U2 throughout my day, from their complete collection, to singles, to concert boots. I'm hopeless I know.

Oh goodness...choosing favorites? I'm not too good at that, but I guess I'll give it a try...

I listen to U2 almost constantly since mt experience (see thread "He Inclined and Heard My Cry") but I like these artists too...

Cat Stevens/Yusef Islam- My fav album is Teaser and the Firecat

The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper's

Donovan- Fairytale is such a wonderfully inspirational album, and Greatest Hits

Zebda a French band with some great dancing music (album: Essence Ordinaire)

Soundtracks, soundtracks, soundtracks! Just about any musical you can name!

80s music...just can't get enough...I'm always Wang Chung-ing!

And as far as so-called Christian music goes... I like Audio Adrenaline and The Newsboys along with various other songs by other artists...

Yeah, I left out only about 2 CDs from my entire collection...but it's so hard to choose!

I have heard and seen Pedro the Lion live and I really admire them. I just have been lazy about picking up any albums. lol.

I haven't listened to anything on the CCM market in about five years. I just cannot handle it.

Add various soundtracks (not song compilations but actual scores) such as Last of the Mohicans, Gladiator, Dangerous Beauty, Braveheart, and Glory. Also classical music by Rachmaninoff, Mozart and Schumann.

Beatles/John Lennon
Van Morrison
Sting/Police
Bob Geldof/Boomtown Rats

and many more (depending on mood and occasion).
