are they really your favorite musician and actor?? ah, you seem to like our little country a lot... you should visit one day.....

alright i have a question about japan: does everybody still work there for over 60, 70 hours a week? or are things changing a bit (say like `normal? 40 hours a week or even less)

Well,It is a thing of the past now.
After the collapse of the "bubble economy", many company have operate at a loss, reduce the work-force,bankrupt.
So middle-age's suicide go on increasing.
Now the unemployment rate is very high.
Working hour is...I don't know...somepeople is less than 40 hour, other people is more than 40hour...
There is happened death from over work for the minimum persons working.
Crime rate is high level than before.
Recently our country is not safety. :(

Other country people say,"Japan is rich country".
But recently, It is not.
People don't go oversea trip than before.
And discount store go on increasing.
Tax,too!!

Ah...Do you understand my explanation?

PS: Meja come from sweden. Oh! I remember that !!
Not your country people. Sorry!!:p

yes i do! it is sad to hear though, that such a great country with so much wealth and richness is (also, like many western countries!) having so much troubles these days. all the unemployment and crime....

is it really unsafe now in japan? also in the city where you live, or only in tokyo?

things are changing in the netherlands too... we used to be a very rich and open and safe country. lately the economy has gone bad, unemployment rate is going up and society in general is getting harsher.
