As much as I hate radio, annoying commercials, radio overplay ruining perfectly good songs etc. etc., I simply cannot get enough of this...

I'd sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know
I heard it on my radio
(Radio)

You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds -- invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh -- you made 'em cry
You made us feel like we could fly

So don't become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just don't know or just don't care
And just complain when you're not there
You had your time, you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
(Radio)

All we hear is Radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is Radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio what's new?
Radio, someone still loves you!

Fist pumping goodness!

Isn't it ironic that Alanis' song is full of things that aren't ironic, but just really big bummers?

has she ever released a 'best of' album? that could be ironic, given the 8 tracks released off her 13 track first release. she makes my pores bleed.

Yep. "Alanis Morissette - The Collection."

She's REALLY hit or miss with me, but there are a few songs of hers I just love. None of which are on Jagged Little Pill.

I do like the song she had over the end credits of the Narnia movie.

Hey Zoots, remember when Queen used to write good songs?

That's not one of them

The irony is that people outside Canada think that Jagged Little Pill was her debut album, but it really wasn't. She released two dance-pop albums called Alanis in 1991 and Now Is The Time in 1992.
