Dial a friend
Languid ease
Reigns o'er the days

Working so hard, or hardly at all
To keep fireflies lit
Cherry dotted dresses
Slip into cracks
Of concrete and grass

Lazing away, hammocks
Cool showers of sprinklers
Sticky sweet ice
Melts away on your frozen tongue

Every day
Summer
Falls slower
And tucks
Away into the winter
Of the mind

Away from
Glowing stars
Moonlit skies

Flipped flops
Racing cars
Sweet sunshine
