So the day begins completely
Nighttime fades away discretely
The new day and its dawn surround me
The taste of every day
Will come and take my soul away

And now
This splendid thing
That stands before my eyes
I take you
Hand in hand
We dance

Take me as I am
Or leave me
Broken from your pain, believe me
Only good will rise around you
Sunlight from your eyes
Will drown the darkness
From the skies

And now
This splendid thing
That stands before my eyes
I take you
Hand in hand
To our eternal dance
Like children, never knowing where this life may land
We feel the pain of life
No more

Your poem is happy and frightening at the same time. I don't know whether the two are revelling in their joy forever, or they are ending their troubles by rejoicing eternally, after death.

"Only good will rise around you"--I like how you phrased that.
