A little inspiration from Tolkien....

Scarlet, gold, cobalt, leaf
Where now is the swirled combination of these
And the colour brings me forth
Solitary light from the deep solid obsidian
I am thee whose eyes have looked on nothing
Whose heart has felt less love than you might think
But in the strongest comfort,
watched the world turning in a pattern of unbroken ice
Mine is the hand that claws at iron bars of a steely cage
Mine is the undying hope that is already slain
All the shimmering shadow steps I take
are mine in fantasy and yours in reality
And I belong where I shall always return
Those darkening meadows in the middle of your broken wishes
Where all the brightest colors come together
That is me
The dimming and brightening of a trapped light
Strengthening and weakening
Hail from the combination
and lost all hope from essence
And when wonder won't cease
But life will
With what emotion will you look upon me?
Or is fate strong enough for there to be none?

But in the strongest comfort,
watched the world turning in a pattern of unbroken ice

Those darkening meadows in the middle of your broken wishes

With what emotion will you look upon me?
Or is fate strong enough for there to be none?
