I wrote this while in a sleep study some of you may have heard I was in. It's still rough as are lots of my poems I post in here, I usually polish them up weeks after they're first written. Ok...
a room cast in shadows
solitude will win this one out
light footsteps is all I hear
outside, a city bathed in sun
slowly turning
grappling for more than just an answer
it's explanations, unjustified
left with strong thoughts and weary eyes
the head hangs in exhaustion and defeat
sleep comes, rest proves uneasy
faint chemical smells
tickle the sensitive nose
when is it time to leave this place?
